| We adopted Beru from Maxfund in May. She had been rescued from a shelter in
New Mexico, and it was apparent that she had been abused. Because she had
moved so much and missed out on socialization with people, Beru was very
fearful and had little trust. This caused her to be aggressive. We read
every book out there and tried everything we could think of. We looked at a
number of trainers, but they all seemed too harsh or used shock collars.
With Beru's history, we felt those methods would only scare her more. When
Kari was recommended to us and I saw the webpage, I realized that her
philosophy was exactly what Beru needed. Using the gentle leader and
positivity, Beru immediately went to work. On Kari's first visit we saw the
things Beru had already learned but hadn't been able to show us. Under
Kari's guidance and with a lot of work, Beru is blossoming into a wonderful,
kind, confident girl. We are so grateful to Wag and Train for helping our
family bring out the best in Beru.
Can you see how happy she is now? You'd never guess that just 3 months ago
she was a timid little thing.
