My name is Dakota and I was just a puppy when I started working with Kari. My parents knew that since I was a Husky, I would probably grow up to be a big dog with a very independent and stubborn personality. We started seeing Kari so that both of us could learn how to stay in control and listen to each other. During Basic 1, we both learned new motivation techniques and ways to make sure I knew the boundaries in my house. We also started using the Gentle Leader, which keeps me from pulling my parents all over the park. In Basic 2, we learned some great techniques for off leash walking as well as improving my listening skills. All of Kari's classes were great for teaching me socialization skills so now I play really well with other dogs. Now I am 8 months old and have completed both of Kari's Basic Obedience classes. Both my parents and I are more confident of my behavior and understand that I will still be an independent and stubborn Husky, but now I am well-behaved.
