I can’t thank Laura Brody enough for the help she has given me and my 18-month old Akita, Hiro. She saved our relationship and my “Demolition Machine” (as she dubbed him) has now become a “Dream Machine”!

Although Hiro was housebroken when I got him, due to boredom and his thinking what’s mine is his and what’s his is his, he proceeded to destroy 700 sq ft of carpet and padding, all the living room furniture and accessories, all the CD’s and DVD’s and started into the 5-shelf bookcase, the drywall and the kitchen cabinets. Even through all that, I refused to give him up or give up on him.

Since working with Laura, Hiro and I have learned to communicate with each other and he now follows simple commands, doesn’t destroy as much, and walks on a leash without dragging me around. We still have a lot of work to do, but I’m glad I never gave up on him…he is my pride and joy!
