Dog of the Month!

Curly April 2008 Dog of the month!

Curly is an 11-month old Bull Terrier puppy who is giving his parents a run for their money! They call him "The Goat" because he literally eats anything (sand, curtains, plastic, paper etc). He is a spunky little guy who is full of energy and love. Curly is working with Kari in his home every day and learning his manners quite quickly!

Important InformationDog training is not about dominance! If you are forceful with your dog, or make your dog comply out of fear, you are not being dominant over your dog. You are being abusive.

Your dog needs a calm, confident leader who will not use force, fear, or pain to 'teach.

Dog's Behavior - appropriate behavior
common behavior problems

2008 Class ScheduleWag & Train’s educated and talented staff can train any dog, but dog training is not enough. We train dog owners how to address the cause of the dog’s behavior, and how to teach appropriate behavior and manners through effective and success-oriented positive reinforcement. We don’t utilize or condone force-based training, and encourage all dog owners to make permanent changes in their dog’s behavior through patience, consistency, and repetition. Wag & Train specializes in the following classes and workshops to address a multitude of behavior challenges:

success stories

lavaSolo, a beautiful four year old Basset hound, is our fifth “Basset Rescue” dog. He was found, either abandoned or lost, alone in an airplane hanger in Colorado Springs; that’s how he got his name. We have never had any behavioral problems with a rescue animal, but Solo was different.

His aggression, especially when awakened or when he was guarding his space, led to my getting bit twice.

Click here to read all about Solo's success!
