Pepper, a beautiful purebred young lady, has exciting news!
After working hard on my manners and confidence, I’m ready to find my forever home! I’m a very lucky almost 2 year old girl who was taken under the wing of Laura, a professional trainer and behavior counselor. After living with her and doing our lessons together everyday, she says that I’m a lovely, lovely dog and it’s hard to let me go, but it’s time for me to find just the right lifelong home.

Would you like to hear all the things I can do now? This is very exciting because before I was rescued and helped by Laura, people weren’t so nice to me. I’m wonderful in the house – completely housetrained, sleep all night and can be left alone without any worries. I “settle” quickly on my bed and politely wait for my meals, to be released at doors and to be invited on the furniture. Laura will be the first to tell you I love learning new things like “shake”, “roll over”, “leave it” and to come when called. I adore going on long walks everyday by your side. And in all modesty, I’m a fantastic, tireless tennis ball retriever.
I love toys and chew bones – prefer other dogs keep their paws off them, but I’ll share with you. There can never be too many toys to carry around and I’ll always greet you with a couple stuffed animals in my mouth! In the evening how I love sleeping at your feet while you watch TV.

With Laura’s help I’m learning that new people aren’t always scary. When we talked about my perfect forever home we agreed that I need a couple things – hope you’ll have them:

First, I need someone who is even-tempered, patient and kind and will give me confident and consistent guidance, especially when meeting new people. Laura will help us get settled in with a couple training sessions. Second, no cats or small furries – love to chase to ‘em! Third, a “low key” home with adults or children over 12 who can show me respect and kindness is a must. Fourth, I’ve absolutely got to live with someone who enjoys daily walks and exercise as much as I do. Fifth, a six foot privacy fence please so I can relax in the sunshine and not have to be on the look out for all the neighborhood news. And last, I’d like a home with another good natured dog – I love to play and need the companionship, exercise and someone to explain things to me about the world in the way only a dog buddy can.

Laura says living with me is easy once you know me and how to help me do things right. After all I’m a Lab and want to please . . . and Laura will be right there to help us be a huge success!

Hope you’ll come meet me soon so I can show off all I know and win your heart!
