Rusty, an Australian Cattle Dog mix, was adopted from Maxfund about 7 years ago when he was 3 years old, and is an extremely sweet boy. It was evident that he had been abused because he coward at loud noises and ran 'for the hills' when the backyard bug zapper went off. He was also aggressive towards children and would have bitten a few, if his dad had not intervened. He also has severe thunderstorm phobia, which he's still working on. Rusty is slowly gained confidence and, although he has a stubborn streak, has his obedience commands down perfectly. After working with Kari, he is less anxious and dominant. He is still a bit fearful around children, but his parents understand his limitations and have learned what to do when he is around kids.
